Zadar is about 157 kilometers from Split. It might seem like a long way, like something you wouldn’t do in a day. Maybe, but we’re from Patagonia and sometimes we’d go to Trelew or Puerto Madryn for the day, and that’s 353 and 439 kilometers away, respectively. I hope I never lose the sense that 200 or 300 kilometers isn’t far. And I hope we never stop saying yes, or think something is too much, because the best memories and stories start that way.
Can you go to Zadar from Split in a day? Yes, even though we never leave too early. We wake up without an alarm, have a leisurely breakfast, and then head out.
What did we do? We had pizza for lunch, played at the Monument to the Sun during the day, listened to the Sea Organ, took photos of other Argentine tourists, strolled through the historic center, ate ice cream, petted kittens, and came back.
