Beach Prva Voda, Split in winter

Split is one of the most touristy cities in Croatia and receives millions of visitors during the summer season. Its beaches, the city, the Diocletian's Palace, the Riva, everything is incredibly beautiful, and even though many shops, bars, and restaurants close, everything is still there. According to what I've heard, it's also one of the sunniest cities in Europe, and many choose it to spend the winter.

So today, I wanted to share some photos of Prva Voda beach in January. We practically spent the whole summer there because it was close to our first apartment when we moved and we didn't have a car. In fact, from Spinut - and even from the city center if you enjoy walking - you can reach it on foot. It's not as touristy as Kašjuni or Bačvice but it's very peaceful. It's about a 10-minute walk from the entrance of Park-šuma Marjan, so it's a beautiful stroll.

Of course, there are taps to fill your water bottle, spaces to change clothes, a shower, and chemical toilets during the season, and that's about it. So if you want to eat or drink something, you can bring it in your backpack. We were there recently and I'm sharing some photos. Of course, with mate.

We moved to Split in February 2023 and I still don't know much or have explored much, but as I discover more, I'll also post it here.

Beyond the season, Split seems to me the most incredible city on earth and I can't not share it.

Split es una de las ciudades más turísticas de Croacia y recibe millones de visitantes durante la temporada de verano. Las playas, la ciudad, el Palacio Dioclesiano, la Riva, todo es hermosísimo y justamente, aunque cierren muchísimos comercios, bares y restaurantes, todo sigue ahí. Según lo que escuché, también es una de las ciudades más soleadas de Europa y muchos la eligen para pasar el invierno.

Entonces hoy, quería compartir algunas fotos de la playa Prva Voda en enero. Fuimos todo el verano prácticamente porque nos quedaba cerca del primer departamento a penas nos mudamos y no teníamos auto. De hecho, desde Spinut -y desde el centro si les gusta caminar- pueden llegar a pie. No es tan turística como Kašjuni o Bačvice pero sí muy tranquila. Queda a unos 10 minutos desde la entrada del Park-šuma Marjan así que como paseo es una belleza. 

Por supuesto hay canillas para cargar la botella, hay espacios para cambiarte, una ducha, baños químicos durante la temporada y....eso es todo. O sea que si querés comer o tomar algo, podés llevar en tu mochila. Nosotros fuimos hace poquito y comparto fotos. Por supuesto, con el mate. 

Nos mudamos a Split en febrero del 2023 y todavía no sé mucho ni conozco mucho, pero a medida que vaya descubriendo lo postearé también por acá..

Más allá de la temporada, Split me parece la ciudad más increíble de la tierra y no puedo no compartir.
